The trees should be changing colors during that time which will be beautiful. Are you planning to visit New England, stay closer to New York City or go south to Maryland?

When I was a flight attendant I made a point to over night in Jacksonville often because my brother lived there. I always enjoyed it. I've always wanted to check out nearby Amelia Island. I've heard it's terrific, too.

I love Gulf Shores. I used to go there as a child on vacation then later when I was in my 20's went with my grandmother on a senior casino day trip from Pensacola.

What a fun trip! I just got back from an 11 day road trip up the coast of California. I love it out there.

I just found out about another festival coming up next month, this one is in Farmerville, Louisiana. It takes place the last weekend of July each year and this year will be the 45th Annual Festival. The dates are: July 24-26, 2008.

You may want to consider the train. Amtrak's last departure from Anaheim to San Diego is at 7:39 pm on the Pacific Surfliner - it's only $29.
