Now that the holidays are upon us the fun festivities across the U.S. are beginning to open, including the popular Santa themed train rides. One of the most popular Santa train rides is the Polar Express out of Williams, Arizona near the Grand Canyon. Every year this ride to see Santa at the "North Pole" sells out. Other train rides include: The Nevada Northern Railway Polar Express. The Verde Canyon Railroad, also in Arizona, has the Santa Claus Express. In Essex, Connecticut the Santa Special has Santa, Mrs. Claus, Rudolph and Christmas Penguin on board. In Grapevine, Texas, between Dallas and Fort Worth the Grapevine Vintage Railroad’s North Pole Express travels along the historic Cotton Belt Route to the Fort Worth Stockyards. In Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada the Winter Train Journey offers spectacular views of the Canadian Rockies. If you're thinking of going on any of these rides I would suggest reserving your tickets now, as most fill up pretty quickly.
Happy Travels! Elizabeth
