Boys Own Adventure USA (aka BOA USA)

I have the green light from my wife to travel to the USA with some buddies for a Boys Own Adventure of the USA (aka BOA USA).  I am looking for some tips for things to do / visit / experience.  On my list already are:

    1.  Pima Air & Space Museum including a tour of the Boneyard [Tucson, Arizona); 2.  Grand Canyon [Arizona]3.  Boeing Factory [Seattle]4.  Kennedy Space Centre including a real live viewing of a Space Shuttle Launch [Cape Canaveral, Florida]5.  Air & Space Museum [Washington DC] 6.  Mardi Gras [New Orleans]7.  Chill out time in Las Vegas8.  Computer History Museum [Silicon Valley, California] 9.  Dearly Departed Tragic History Tour [Los Angeles]

Any other suggestions would be gratefully appreciated!

You could hike down to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and stay overnight at Phantom Ranch.  You could hike down into the Grand Canyon on the Havasupai Indian Reservation and visit the remote village of Supai.  You could go to the gunnery range near Las Vegas and shoot machine guns.  You can rent an ATV and tour the desert in Nevada.  You could climb Mount Ranier.  You could ride the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon on a rubber raft.  You can ride in a World War II vintage fighter airplane and engage in aerial combat over the desert in California.  The possibilities are limitless.
