Happy Halloween! A few tips for tonight...
Happy Halloween! Here are a few tips for the scariest night of year.
- Before you venture out with the kids for trick-or-treating tonight put reflective tape on your little spooks, use a flashlight, cross at cross walks, and only visit homes with the front porch light on. Remind the kids to never go into a stranger's home.
- Try and stay on the sidewalks. If there aren't sidewalks, like in my neighborhood, walk on the left side of the road -- facing traffic.
- Keep costumes away from those Jack O'Lanterns with candles inside. If a costume does catch fire remember "Stop-Drop-Roll."
- Dial 9-1-1 from any phone for emergency service.
- If you are an adult going to a "Big Spook" party keep yourself and others safe by not drinking and driving. Instead, take a taxi or the local public transportation. This is great night to get a DUI (Driving Under the Influence) and the police will be out watching.
