     Hello,

I will be visiting the US for the first time in my life, and I consider this as one of things that I want to do before I die Big Smile

I have no restrictions on how or where or what.

I want to see all what I can see in this 2 week period.

My initial plan, based on what I have heared, read or recommended by people is to visit NY, LA, Florida

I have no idea about what will be the best for me.

I will be arriving to NY JFK airport at August,1 2009

Also, if you have any info. regarding renting cars and  driving liscene (if my country's driving liscence is accepted or not)

Please help me to see the most of the greastest country ever, USA !

( I am 22 years old, coming with my friend)

     * after this 2 week vacation I will be heading to Dallas,TX to attend medical seminars for 7 weeks

    Thanks !

Two weeks is not a long time to see such a big country.  I suggest you choose just one or two areas to visit during this vacation.  You can always come back again to see more.

What do you like to see?  If you like big cities with restaurants, bars, nightclubs and cultural activities, you should go to New York City or Los Angeles.  If you like beautiful ocean beaches with white sand and tropical climate, you should go to Florida.  If you like great scenic attractions like mountains, canyons, deserts and geological attractions, you should tour the Southwest.  Without knowing your interests, I cannot give you any suggestion, because there are just too many things to see.

If you have a valid drivers license from your home country, it will be accepted in the USA.  You can certainly rent a car, but some car rental companies will refuse to rent to anyone under 25 years old.  You may have to shop around to several car rental companies to find the one that will rent to you.
